Multi-Instrumental Musician and Composer

Tim Rayborn is an internationally-acclaimed musician and performer of a wide variety of different styles of music, including medieval, Scandinavian, Balkan, North African, Turkish, Persian, and Indian. He plays more than 80 musical instruments and has toured extensively in Europe and the U.S., as well as working with traditional musicians in Marrakech and Istanbul.

He has recorded three critically-acclaimed CDs for ASV/Gaudeamus,
one of Britain's top early music labels, and has released a solo CD on
the classical label, Wildboar.

He has recorded several other CDs, for Eventide and his own label.
He is also the author of several academic articles.

The Flame and the Shadow

Tim's new work, a folkloric ballet in seven acts. Featuring traditional-style
music and an original orchestral score by Tim, the work encompasses
European, Middle Eastern, and Indian mythological themes,
performed by an amazing cast of dancers.
